Frequently Asked Questions

Are there any types of mats that you can’t print?

We would like to accommodate all of our customers, however there are some mats we can’t print because of legal restrictions or ethical reasons.

We are unable to process the following requests:
Vulgar, offensive or defamatory language, Obscene, pornographic, or suggestive images. Violent images/text. Illegal drugs (with the exception of cannabis), drug slang or drug paraphernalia.

Are there logos you need licensing to print?

Images of celebrities, musicians, icons, movie logos including but not limited to Disney characters, Oprah, Metallica and Black Panther. NCAA and professional sports team logos and mascots including but not imited to MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, NHL, Premier League, WNBA Designer logos, iconography, and patterns including but not limited to Vera Wang, Donna Karan, Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, and Vivienne Westwood
NFTs (non-fungible tokens) like ike Bitcoin or Ethereum. Any logo, iconography, or text that is trademarked.

There are certain brands that do not allow us to use their logo in any way, so we will not create proofs for these and will advise you if you request one.

If I work for a business with a trademarked logo (or a private, technical, or community college or charity) and want to order mats, will I have to get written permission and provide that to you?

While we don’t require written permission for those types of organizations as it’s expected that branding will be used by the owner, it’s always a good idea to confirm with your legal and/or marketing teams to see if there is a company policy prohibiting printing of a logo mat.

What’s the largest custom logo mat you can print?

6 feet wide (industry standard 6 feet is 67 to 68 inches wide) up to 60 feet long preferably in increments of one foot when the mat is over 20 feet long. While custom widths and custom lengths over 20 feet can be done, they usually take 3-5 extra business days to manufacture.

What is the standard turnaround time once I’ve approved artwork and placed my order?

5-8 business days from time of order, but can longer during mat peak season (generally July to November). This does not include shipping time once manufacturing is completed.

How do I clean my new logo mat?

You can vacuum it like you would for any other carpet type textile for regular cleaning. If your mat is in a high traffic area, you may want to consider a wet vac carpet cleaner and use the carpet cleaner’s recommended cleaning solution. If it’s excessively dirty you may want to consider pressure washing the mat.

What kind of files can I submit for artwork?

Vector files are the best type of artwork files that you can send (file extensions - .ai, .eps, .pdf, or .svg). If you submit other types of files, such as a .jpeg, there may be an additional $25 artwork charge to convert the file.

Can you match a PMS or Pantone color?

Yes, but there is a significant dye charge to match a specific color. It would be better to process a Pantone or PMS color as a photographic mat to get as close as possible to that color.

What is a photographic mat?

It’s a mat that is printed full color as if you printed a photo off an inkjet printer. There could be possible shade or color shifts due to printing on a 3 dimensional surface.
