A Little About “Her”

Age - Well that’s just rude to ask a Southern Lady
Hometown - LaGrange, Georgia born and raised
I had the pleasure of growing up in the rural south. I spent most of my days not in school playing with friends, riding bicycles, running through the woods, riding horses, and doing all the fun things you can do in the country. I also have so many fond memories of fishing with my Dad. It wasn’t perfect, but I had a blessed childhood.
After graduating high school, I thought I’d be going to college to become a high school Chemistry teacher. Life choices sent me in a completely different direction. I ended up married to my best friend, Chad, with two kids. Of all the titles in the world I will ever hold, “Mom” will be one I will always treasure. It’s been like Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. Chad and I have now been together longer than we have not. Not to mention we have two amazing adult kids, Alex and Kristi. And we also have two bonus kids that ours are married to, Mayra and Dan. And last but not least, 2023 will add our first grandchild. (We are way too excited about that last one.)
Professionally somehow with hard work and an insatiable curiosity for knowledge, I fell into the world of IT. I am currently working as a software company for a pretty amazing woman owned Software Consulting firm. Yes, I had to point out it was “woman” owned because I am in a distinctly male dominated industry. It’s not always easy when you don’t fit the “norm” of your industry. So many of my jobs over the years I’ve had mostly male co-workers. I’m confident in my ability to adapt and succeed so it never bothers me.
That brings me to the beginning of 2023. My husband asks “ So how about starting a business selling mats?” I mean we didn’t have much going on this year, just two weddings, a new grandbaby and me recovering from a major accident. So what could I say but “ Heck yeah! Let’s do this!” Honestly, the conditions were right and it just made sense. It was a big leap of faith, but we’re playing off of each other's strengths and making it work. Chad has the mat business and graphic design knowledge while I have general business and systems knowledge that can help in the back end. Ultimately we make one killer team. The business is growing like crazy, life is busy, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
If you made it this far, I hope you give us a chance to help make your home, business, shop or race hauler look good. I like to think we’re good people. We will definitely do our best to make sure you’re taken care of. We look forward to hearing from you!
